Indian Silverbill (Lonchura malabarica)

Indian Silverbill (Lonchura malabarica), also called White throated Silverbill or White throated Munia. Locally(Gujarati) called "ટપુસિચુ" This bird is a common breeding resident.  It frequents dry open scrub, fallow land and cultivation, sometimes near water. Although mainly found on the plains,It feeds mainly on seeds, but also takes insects and has been known to visit nectar bearing flowers.
